Purulia in West Bengal

We, at East India Travelers Club, have been successfully organizing the popular 'Palash Utsav' in Purulia every spring since 2014. Each year, a large number of people participate in the festival, creating a vibrant and healthy cultural atmosphere. Tourists become immersed in the event, captivated by the Jhumur songs of local artists, the rhythmic tribal dances, the soulful tunes of Bauls, and the expressive movements of Chou dancers, making the festival a colourful celebration. In 2021, the East India Travelers Club expanded its offerings with the launch of 'Palashbari Restora' at Ayodhya Hilltop in Purulia, a complete family-friendly restaurant. Staying true to Purulia’s rich culinary heritage, food enthusiasts can relish a traditional lunch of Sona Mung Dal with steamed rice, Alu posto, Posto Bora, Doi Potol, Kachi Panthar Jhol, and Mourala Macher Tok. As winter evenings descend, guests can enjoy barbeque chicken by a cozy campfire accompanied by tribal dances, while the night brings an indulgent spread of various dishes, including desi chicken, at Palashbari Restora. In 2024, we proudly embarked on our hotel business journey by taking charge of the renowned 'Hotel Palash Ajodhya' and 'Palash Bar cum Restaurant' at Ayodhya Hilltop.
